Montessori Centre Academy, Inc. Admissions
Montessori Centre Academy, Inc. Admissions
Currently, the Montessori Centre Academy has approximately 85 children enrolled from 2 to 9 years old (Toddler through 3rd Grade). There are 4 main classrooms with several auxiliary rooms. The student population draws from within a 30-mile radius. Children are from a very broad cultural background.
Toddler Admissions:

Families are first invited to visit the Academy for a tour with their child. This allows both parent and child to experience the classroom environment, meet the teachers, and begin to feel comfortable in the space.
During the visit, families will also meet with the Director to discuss the child’s developmental and educational background, as well as their goals and hopes for their child’s future academic journey. This conversation helps us begin to understand each child as an individual and determine how we can best support their growth.
Primary Admissions:

The Primary admissions process includes a tour of the school, followed by a classroom visit and evaluation.
This visit is designed to feel natural and engaging for the child, while also giving our teachers the opportunity to observe readiness, independence, and social development. It is both an introduction to the classroom environment and an opportunity for us to determine appropriate placement within the program.
Elementary Admissions:

Our Elementary program is built upon a strong Montessori foundation developed during the Primary years.
When space is available, we carefully consider applicants on an individual basis. As part of the process, prospective students spend time in the classroom so that we can assess their readiness for the academic expectations, level of independence, and pace of a Montessori Elementary environment.
In some cases, we may determine that a different educational setting would better support a child’s success at that time. When this occurs, we are happy to offer guidance and recommendations to help families find the best fit for their child.
