Montessori Centre Academy, Inc., a school nestled on 20 acres of private woodlands and accredited by the Middle States Association, is celebrating over 40 years of quality education. Montessori Centre Academy is a private corporation, non-sectarian organization for the sole purpose of creating an alternative educational environment for children based on the Montessori principle of learning.

How Neuroscience Has Influenced the Way a Child Learns

The Montessori Method is a brain based eductional approach.  Presently, neuroscience has advanced our understanding of how the brain maps information and builds learning. 

Hands on activities that are multi-sensory build a better brain.  The unique Montessori equipment is especially designed to teach the fundamental concepts (in Math, Language, Botony, Zoology, Geography) in a sustainable learning curve. 

The equipment and curriculum have sensory specific activities that gradually get more difficult as the concept is developed.  The unique hands on materials that are manipulated leads the child to build neuro pathways to maximize the child's learning potential.

What We Do

The Montessori approach to education lends itself to maximize a child's potential by creating classrooms of multi-age groupings, hands on manipulatives, and a sequence of precise curriculum which together promotes peer teaching, cooperative learning and encourages individual learning aptitudes.

The Montessori Method

Classes are comprised of Toddler, Preschool and Elementary to 6th grade. This uniquely based philosophy and methodology provides the opportunity for early learning, social development, and play experiences. Its underlying educational base is the developmental growth stages of children and the learning styles within these stages. Each classroom has a vast array of teaching equipment and apparatus for manipulation and exploration.
