Montessori Centre Academy

Ongoing student activities include field trips, community projects, elementary school play, musical for grades 1 through 6.

Each classroom picks one or two parents as "homeroom parent." That parent becomes the liason for teacher needs and parent volunteers. The parent body may be a source to draw upon as consultants regarding growth and direction of the school, increasing opportunities for new horizons and directions. Parents participate in the following ways:

1. Driving on field trips
2. Parents are invited to give special presentations:
   • Hobbies
   • Religious ceremonies
   • Cooking
   • Storytelling
   • Art and crafts
   • Holiday events
3. Organizing the yearly Book Fair
4. Organizing the holiday gift shop.

Parents contribute their time driving on field trips, picking up museum exhibits and attending morning coffees.
