Montessori Centre Academy

We have a dedicated faculty who professionally add to the quality of education and whose understanding of children insures trust.

The staff retention rate is very high. Our teachers are experienced in public, as well as private schools. Some teachers hold degrees from both elementary and Montessori schools. All classes are taught by fully trained Montessori teachers. Most classroom assistants are certified teachers. Music, French, Physical Education, and Art teachers are professionals in their subject areas.

School Head

The school head, Yolanda Sweenie, has been the director for the last 15 years. She holds both AMI and AMS degrees in addition to state certification. She is an AMS trainer for the 3 to 6 year olds.

Elementary Administrator

Barbara Carlblom holds the position of elementary administrator. She has a Masters Degree from the State University of New York at Cortland. She actively directs the elementary staff from first to sixth grade. She is head teacher in the 9 to 12 class and has designed this class specifically for that developmental age.
